Went to the beach again on Sat, man, we had a blast. We must have been out there boogie-boarding for over an hour! Then we sat on the beach and watched fish jump in and out of the water, playing in the surf. We went to Cardiff State Beach again, at Cardiff by the Sea. It is so great. Other than that, we didn't do much. Just yucky house stuff like cleaning and laundry. Enjoyed a beautiful night Sat night out on the patio, grilled steaks and listened to some music (to cover up the live band playing across the street at the school for a church gathering). It was nice and cool. Another great So Cal night...

Yeah, the Vikings finally won a pre-season game last night against the Raiders. The first team looked good in the first half so that is encouraging. We're looking forward to the season and it is no doubt a lot more fun to watch when the Vikings are doing well. This year the Vikings play the Chargers in San Diego so hopefully we will get tickets and go to that one. I can't wait until the season starts. Go Vikings!!

Had so much fun at the beach last weekend that I am hoping to go again this weekend. Summer is almost over, better make the best of it!

We decided to go to the beach after all...
We drove down to Torrey Pines and it was packed! So, we drove up the coast to Cardiff by the Sea, and found the best beach! It was awesome! Free parking just footsteps from the beach, and it wasn't crowded. We set up our spot and went out. Bruce boogie-boarded and caught a few waves. I just jumped waves and watched him. It was fun. I could get used to this :)

Hello friends and family,
Whew!, another hot one here today!
We had a nice, lazy afternoon yesterday: slept in late, and then napped again. At about 3:30 we decided to go to the beach. So we packed up the truck, packed the gear and the ice chest and headed out. We went to Oceanside, and it was packed! Even at 5:00 when we got there. I can only imagine what it would have been like at noon! We played in the water, had some fun cooling off, walked on the beach, and people watched. Got home late, about 8:00 and grilled steaks. It was such a beautiful evening.

Today seems like another hot one! Bruce went out and mowed and trimmed the yards while I cleaned the house (I get to stay in the air conditioning!). Thinking about maybe hitting the beach again today, but who knows. Bruce is making me breakfast now and we have the usual weekend shopping still to do. We'll see...

All in all, pretty great weekend here! Hope yours was too!
