I had my OB appointment this morning. I had to do the one hour glucose test AND get a Rhogam shot. Lucky me, I got to get poked twice. I always have to laugh to myself when they ask if needles or blood draws bother me. Please, after IVF...bring it on!!!

It is always so boring to sit and wait in the doctor's waiting room, knowing that you can leave or do anything for an hour. I know, they have magazines, but they never have anything that I am interested in. I wanted to turn on the TV, but figured I probably shouldn't. So, there I sat, looking at others while others looked at me. So much fun! You'd be surprised how many people still see a pregnant woman and then, in the same glance, look to see a wedding ring. I would never even think to do that!

Oh, sounds like Emily is waking from her nap, gotta run!!!

I like A&W, Mommy

Mommy at 26 weeks

"CHEESE!"

You can't keep me out!!!

Emily's first day of school

Desperate times call for desperate measures...

I was craving a Coke and Cheese Kurds and the only place in our small town (<3,500 people) is A&W, which is in a gas station, but it did the trick! I NEVER go there, but I must have been really hungry because today it was actually edible. It is usually so gross that I vow to never go there again! AND, $7.75 for a chicken burger, kurds and medium Coke? That's highway robbery!!! Oh well, I guess that is one of the prices you pay for pregnancy, :)

Oh, by the way, Emily's class went better today. She decided to participate a little bit in the group circle, but not much. AND, she got ME in trouble today. She took a toy away from a 1 year old little girl so I told her that she had it first and she had to share and took it from Emily and gave it back to the little girl. The teacher told me that I was just making Emily MORE possessive by taking something from her to give to another child, and that it was just best, if the other child doesn't respond, to let Emily have it. So, as long as the other child doesn't cry, it's ok?? Nope, not in our house. Whoever has it first has it until it's given up, not taken away. That's only fair, right?

Well, Emily's class on Friday went much better! I'm so relieved, I was a little worried.

She did take something away from her class though, a cold. It was to be expected, being around other kids, so I wasn't too upset when I noticed the runny nose.

This is her 3rd cold, and it may not even be a cold because she is also teething, since we've moved to MN. I don't think that is bad, and definately would NOT consider her sickly, it seems pretty normal to me, despite what others might say.

Happy Autumn everyone!

Well, that was craptacular! ECFE class, that is.

There were only 2 other kids there, both UNDER 1!! OK, so how is Emily supposed to get socialized with babies??!! And, I am WAY older than the other moms. I knew that would be the case, but you just feel so awkward, well, I did. There is only 7 years difference between me and one mom, and more with the other, I just cannot relate with them. Our issues are not the same. Plus, they all knew each other, having been to or have other kids who went to these classes, so I felt like the newbie. Oh well, this is the first class, hopefully the other class on Friday will be better. Plus, it is for Emily, not me. I have to remember that.

Anyway, Emily did some finger painting, played with some playdough, and went off on her own to play with all the play stuff. She didn't want to participate with the sitting in the circle and singing stuff or any other group activity. Hopefully the other 2 kids (that weren't there today) will be her age or older. That should help.

I think I am at the start of the 3rd trimester now (26 weeks). It seems to be going by fast!

We started his nursery this weekend. It will be Winnie the Pooh blue, green and yellow, just like his new crib bedding. Bruce just started with the blue, but it already looks good. I know we have time, but I just cannot wait to get it done!

Today is Emily's first day of school!!!!

We start our Toddler and Parent class today (ECFE-Early child and family education). It is at the Elementary School here in town. Emily had a blast when we took her up there to sign up, so I am hoping that she loves the class even more!

She has 2 classes, this one, and another one on Friday mornings. I really hope that it helps her with socialization as well as not needing to be attached to Mom all the time. With another baby coming in 3 months, she could use a little independence.

Hugs to all!

YAY!!! Daddy comes home today!!!

Bruce had to go away on business this past week, to England. Emily and I, along with the dogs, have been down with my mom. It was a really nice trip!!! Emily and I had a great time! We both slept really well, and, I don't know who switched our dogs with good ones, but they couldn't have been better. I don't want the old naughty ones back, ha ha!!!!

So, this afternoon, Emily and I get to drive to the airport and go get Daddy! Yay!!! I can't wait!!! I'm sure Emily can't either, if she knew.

How will we kill time before it's time to leave? This will be a long day!
